Blog #2: It Eat'd a Hole in Da Tree

Sunday night<x-apple-data-detectors://0> family friends of Mr. Loos treated us to a wonderful meal. We dined like royalty indulging on steak, spinach wraps, baked brie, and classic sides. They even gave us ice cream! Needless to say we were living the life. We took a small detour to check out the bay and take some classy photos. There was quite a bit of basketball talk during the events of the night, and some fun competition ensued.

But the fun didn't stop after dinner. We decided to work off our meal and play some intense games of ultimate Frisbee and Knockout. By the time the games were over it was time to return to the cots and have a little pillow talk before catching some shut-eye.

Morning came quick and we returned to Big Cat Rescue for Day 2. We resumed the duties in the back of the location and got work done. Landscaping and moving fences were the majority of duties today. Burs were in abundance as they covered our clothes and even got in our hair. Not a highlight, but somewhat laughable. We may have gotten a bit carried away with uprooting trees, but we are getting a pretty good work out!

Today we got to take a longer tour of the sanctuary of visited a mountain lion, ocelots, and some very rare servals. These servals are brothers and they are the only two know white servals in the world!

We were released early and got to have a bit of lake adventure today back at Mary Help of Christians. Kayaks and canoes filtered around the water as we explored the lake. Adriana's sunglasses were lost to the lake. RIP. Also Kitty was the victim of a fish slap, as it jumped out of the water and hit her face. We also got to play with the animals that are on the property, including baby bunnies!

A classic Wal-Mart run was in order to finish the rest of our shopping. Italian is on the menu for tonight and we can't wait to see what the group has in store for our trip tonight.
