Felton Minnesota- Riding on Angels Wings

I Spy Something White

Forgoing the standard spring practice of heading south, we headed north- for 13 hours. Ten students, two Mizzou minivans, and lots of coats and blankets traveled over 900 miles today. We will be working at Riding on Angels Wings, a therapeutic riding camp in Felton, Minnesota.

The morning got off to an interesting start when a dog decided to cross the highway while we were trying to merge on the highway from the entrance ramp. Luckily, everyone and the dog were ok.

We passed the time by playing Catchphrase, Apples to Apples, making an origami zoo, and having sing alongs.

The state of South Dakota lasted for the better part of Saturday afternoon. We were worried it would never end. We hardly saw any cars, but there were tons of signs for Wall Drug. We saw more signs for Wall Drug then houses along the way.

We passed the Continental Divide, which we decided meant that half of North America was above it and half was below it. We were on the lookout for the Welcome to North Dakota sign when we saw this sign. Further research indicates that the Continental Divide is quite a few states over, so we're not sure about the sign.

We noticed a Casino attached to nearly every gas station we stopped at. It was 16 degrees when we hit North Dakota and there is lots of snow on the ground. We ended the day with delicious half-prie apps at Applebees.
