Ruidoso - Adaptive Sports

Skidoso Day 4 (Wednesday)

Today was another great day of service at SAAS (Ski Apache Adaptive Sports)! We had a small group of students with various capabilities. They ranged in ages from 21 to 63 years old and most of them had never skied prior to today. Due to such a small group coming today, those of us that were unable to assist with a student spent time in the office helping SAAS prepare for their upcoming 40th Anniversary where they will be holding a silent auction to raise money for their program. Tomorrow will be an exciting day since there will be a group of students coming with visual impairments.

Each day we are constantly reminded of how great of an opportunity that we have to serve here during this week. The coaches are amazing teachers and mentors to the students of this great organization.

At the end of the day Austin has closed the gap on Paul. He’s not going to let Paul win without a fight!

To end the day Jackie convinced Anastesia, Mickey and Austin to take a Zumba class (Anastesia, Mickey, and Austin's first--now they're all addicted). Needless to say, that Zumba stuff is intense! After a solid dance session a group of us decided to go on a frozen yogurt run. Another great day has come to an end of such a spectacular week! See you tomorrow!
