Memphis, TN 1 - Children's Health (Post 2)

For our second post about our trip to Memphis, we decided to create a little Vlog, touring the place we are staying in and showing the beautiful faces of our fellow Memphibians!

It's been only 4 days since we all climbed into our 2 vans and hit the road, but we already feel like a big fat happy family! It's incredible how open, weird and corky everyone is.

It's just the second day of service, but we are already learning so many valuable lessons from the kids we interact with. They teach us how to be open to the world and cherish every single moment of our lives.

It was wonderful to see familiar, cute little faces light up when we came back to the Hope House. From running around the playground to folding T-shirts, every singe experience was valuable to all of us.

In the afternoon we toured St. Jude's Children's Hospital and I am not going to exaggerate, it blew our minds. The atmosphere of the hospital is homey and welcoming. They made sure that even the smallest kid wouldn't feel intimidated by it. The walls were full of painting of happy children ice skating and having picnics at the park.

St. Jude's Children's Hospital made all of us believe in humanity and put everything into prospective. It's wonderful that there are people out there donating their money and time to this hospital and it's so great to be part of it.

After St. Jude's we had some quality bonding time. Deep conversations in the car, hilarious "lost in translation" moments and guitar jams are just a tiny little part of our Memphibian ghost-obsessed crew.

Today was hectic, insightful, heartwarming, heartbreaking at times, adventurous, open, trusting, hilarious, kind, happy and one in a million.

In the end, I have only two things to say:
"Tree don't kill my bike" & "Aboot!!!"
