The day started out a little rainy and dreary. We had to reschedule service this morning for Thursday because of inclement weather. So, we decided to explore Jackson, but there weren't many things to do, considering it was Sunday morning in the south. We ended up walking around downtown but everything was closed. Finally, we stumbled into to the Gallaway United Methodist Church to use the restrooms. Due to great southern hospitality, we ended up staying for a church service and lunch.
Tomorrow is the grand opening of the homeless soup kitchen, and thus we offered to serve there tomorrow morning.
After the church, we headed to RideABILITY Therapeutic Riding Center, where we went through training. We learned the basics of how the center is run and what our responsibilities will be the next couple days while serving there. After training, we had a few hours before we could return to our housing site, so we decided to see a movie.
We came back home around 8:00pm and made tacos for dinner.
We look forward to returning to RideABILITY and the church for service tomorrow!
Peace and Blessings,
The Jackson Crew
