Indianapolis, IN

After a late night with some shenanigans with a crucifix involved, we started our day with an 8:30 wake up call to plan our day. Due to the weather—yes it is snowing on spring break--Allie and Cody thought it would be best today if we cancelled our original plans of driving to Chicago for our free day. So, a small group decided to go to the grocery store while the rest of us went back to bed/showered/relaxed. We enjoyed a few reruns of The Brady Bunch and a lazy Sunday morning. Our day only started around 1 in the afternoon. We stayed at St. Benedictine Inn for lunch, where we had a gourmet meal of peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches.

After lunch, we loaded up the vehicles (Mom and Dad drove the mini van together), and headed toward Broad Ripple. We were in search for a special popcorn place that made all sorts of popcorn with different flavors (they had hot wing flavored popcorn!!) because we are having a movie night tonight, and a movie night definitely calls for popcorn. We found what we were looking for and bought a couple of bags of chocolately popcorn. We continued to explore the little village and found some pretty cool shops!

Today we also took a lot of "touristy" photos. These locations included a huge comb on the side of the street and a cute little firehouse. Our tourist themed day continued when we went to the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Here we saw the end of a weird tarp show. No one quite understands what we saw. We looked at all kinds of paintings and sculptures. As we were leaving, the snow began to really come down so we decided to head back to the Inn.

Our dinner tonight was lasagna which we creatively made in a crock pot. While we waited for dinner, we played "Things" and learned a little bit about each other. Dinner wasn't too bad! We give huge props to Cody, Allie and Kim who prepared it. We had bread with the lasagna, but were still hungry, so we are currently waiting on pizza to be delivered.

The rest of tonight, we are going to watch Pitch Perfect and have pizza, popcorn and snacks!! We are excited for tomorrow, when we will hopefully get to start working with Habitat, if we aren't snowed in.

Okay, byeeeee.
