San Antonio - Homelessness/Poverty (1)

Day one of the San Antonio trip has been incredible thus far. This morning we set off early to HEB and bought groceries to kick start the week.  Afterwards, we spent a majority of our day downtown at the river walk. While downtown, we had the opportunity to visit the historic district that encompassed the Alamo. After numerous “selfies” with the Alamo we checked out the inside displays, which contained different arrays of weapons and artifacts preserved from the historic Battle of the Alamo. This was one of the most fascinating parts of our day. After a long day of touring, we stopped at an authentic Tex-Mex restaurant called Barriba. The food was phenomenal. It was a great experience among our group because we were all trying a new cuisine of food together. The group lunch was probably the best group bonding experience we had today.
