Lincoln - Animals (3)

The Omahomies had a tremendous Tuesday! It was kind of a gross day, but no amount of rain or cold temperatures could dampen our spirits. We made our way over to our last day at Hearts United for Animals safely through sheets of rain, and got to work right away. The ‘homies split up again today, taking care of groups of big dogs, injured rescues, and cats. We power-washed kennels, exercised large dogs, provided socialization for puppy mill rescues, and brushed cats in the morning. After our hosts treated us to a fantastic lunch, we started up work again, a little sad to know that these would be our last few hours serving these loving animals in need.
We made those last few hours count though—every dog and cat that was out and available was attended to with love and care by our team. We said goodbye to our furry friends and headed home for a delicious dinner of pure breakfast food—it was fantastic!

We look forward to helping clean and maintain a wildlife nature trail tomorrow—until then, we’re pulling on our galoshes and gearing up for the mud! M-I-Z!
