Day four of collecting wildlife cameras at Chiricahua National Monument! We once again split into two different groups to collect cameras since it was effective the past few days. We had some harder hikes today and ended up getting nine cameras. After work, we headed back to Ft. Bowie for a tour of the Native American War ruins. We learned a lot about the area’s military history, including that Geronimo surrendered at this site, and played some dress up (see photo). For dinner, we made pancakes, bacon, and a casserole. After dark, we walked back to the ruins to reflect, watch the stars, and talk. Our park ranger neighbor, Brandon, met us and told stories of how Ft. Bowie is haunted and explained the supernatural experiences of visitors (super spoOoOoOoOoOky). Before bed, we packed up all of our things and got ready for our final day at Chiricahua!
