Today was our second day of hiking to collect wildlife cameras at Chiricahua National Monument. We split into two groups to cover more ground, especially since we had much more off-trail hiking to do, and collected a total of 10 cameras today. We got to see even more of the huge park and some cool natural rock formations. After returning to headquarters, we looked at photos from some of cameras (bobcats and skunks and mice, oh my!). We made the drive back to our housing at Ft. Bowie and made a pasta bar for dinner, which did not last long. We spent our evening playing games with our housing neighbors at Ft. Bowie, who also happen to be park rangers here. Despite increasingly apparent soreness, we’re looking forward to another day of camera collection at Chiricahua tomorrow.
