Chattanooga--Habitat
Tuesday was our first day working on a neighborhood restore with Habitat for Humanity. The neighborhood revitalization is designed to fix up existing housing, some of which are Habitat homes! Habichatt (Habitat in Chattanooga), has selected a neighborhood and are going around updating and fixing up several houses. One of the houses we worked on today is a Habitat home but because it is around 20 years old it needed some updates.
Today our group was split up between two houses but they were both on the same street, so we were able to jump from house to house as needed. We did everything from sanding, scraping paint, building stairs to a deck, and fixing the insulation underneath a house. Though it was a little chilly today, we kept warm by moving around.
Most of the work done today was prep-work so we are excited to see the finished product later this week! The projects we sanded and peeled paint off today, we are hoping to finish later this week by repainting.

We couldn't decide if they looked more like Ghostbusters or the clean-up crew on Monsters Inc.

After a hard day of work, Kristie got reenergized by doing a handstand in the kitchen.
