Colorado- Environment

Today was our last day in Colorado = [.  We had a free day, so we decided to go up to the Arches in Utah.  We walked up to Delicate Arch, which was about a 1 ½ mile hike…all up hill.  It was hard, but it was breathtaking at the top.  Jake read that it took something like 30 million years for the Arches to form, but he could have been pulling my leg.  We had extra time before we had to be home, so we decided to get ice cream and shop in Moab, Utah.  Apparently Moab is the city that the movie 127 Hours took place.  It was a really neat little town full of gift shops.  Jake spent a ridiculous amount.

Tonight we have the community BBQ.  This is one of my favorite parts of the trip.  Everyone we have worked with, and other members of the community (farmers, politicians, friends, etc.) come over to the Heaton's house.  At the end of the night, all the musicians play some old genuine blue grass for us.  There are some really amazing musicians in the group.  Ron even plays guitar and fiddle for us!  It's a great way to end the trip.

Unfortunately this will be our last blog.  Back to boring old Missouri tomorrow. Thank you for taking the time to read it and supporting our trip.  We hope you enjoyed it!!
