Another tiring day out in Colorado. This morning we went with Kathy Hayes to Mud Spring. Mud Springs is Bureau of Land Management property. There is a really nice trail, but unfortunately it's not clearly defined. Part of the trail is for motorized vehicles, but the majority of it is for hikers, mountain bikers, and horsemen. It was our job today to mark the trail. We built rock caverns and dragged logs along the path. I'd say we did a pretty good job! Kathy took us down to some Native American ruins. Everywhere you stepped you could find pottery shards. It was really neat to be able to touch history like that. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any arrow heads. On the walk back, Christine and Jake found an elk carcass. Apparently, elk's have two ivory teeth. They were brave enough to pull them out and take them home. Trevor wanted to make sure the prairie dogs were mentioned. We went to Sonic after all of our work and saw them just hanging out. We will probably blog more later tonight. We still have adventure club, making dinner, and sleeping in the tipi! We stay busy out here! We have had some requests for pictures, but unfortunately no one brought their USB cord. We'll try to figure something out!
