Hey y'all! NOLA 1 checking in...
We're having a blast down here in The Big Easy. We enjoyed an action-packed free day on Sunday, filled with laughs and new friends. New Orleanians (and their dogs) love meeting new people and showing their gratitude. We started our day off scoping out the Lower Ninth Ward to see where we would be working. Then, it was off to St. Louis Cemetery and the French Quarter. The day was full of mini photo shoots for the Gram, musicians dabbin' on em, and street performances from our very own team members!
Seeing the city was fun, but starting our service with SBP today was even better. We put the finishing touches on our house's exterior with some help from our friends over at Americorps. Tomorrow, it's on to the next house. Two words: power tools.
