Jacksonville 1-Animals

Today's work provided a change of scenery for most of our group. We arrived at Catty Shack and split into two teams. Most of us went to Catty Shack's thrift shop and cleaned up two large trailers that has items that had not been touched for three years.

The rest of the group stayed behind at Catty Shack and helped by washing dishes from past feedings. We also cleaned more animal enclosures, and we got a chance to feed the smaller animals again, including the coatimundi, foxes, and a bobcat.

Eventually, we all came together at Catty Shack and started to build a hammock for a black leopard by sawing old pieces of hoses, weaving them together and bolting the ends to hold everything together.

We explored more of Jacksonville by going to two local destinations. We tried out Clark's Fish Camp, and Adventure Landing. We all enjoyed the delicious seafood and atmosphere at Clark's. We played a variety of arcade games and an intense round of laser tag at Adventure Landing.

Our tasks today and all of our work for the week have required teamwork. We have worked together as best as we could and communicated love to the tigers and each other to the extent of our ability. Today has been considered a favorite day to most, if not all of us, and we're sad that this trip is coming to an end. We have one more day at Catty Shack, and we aim to do everything in our power to make it great.
