Dallas, TX - Homelessness and Poverty (Post 1)

Four cars w/ tiger tails, three stops, two tolls and one looooooooooooooooong 10 hour drive later, an entourage of 22 Mizzou Tigers from the Mizzou Black Men's Initiative pulled into the great city of Dallas, TX on the night of March 21st. The highlights of the drive included plenty of sleeping (not the drivers), Mizzou Idol worthy singing, intelligent debates about nothing, an emergency bathroom break, the savory flavor of Chick-Fila for lunch (we know you're jealous) and the dozens of awkward looks from highway travelers of all ages starring at the one of a kind Tiger Tails hanging out of the trunk of each of the convoys vehicles INCLUDING a Texas Highway Patrolman who pulled up too close for comfort just so he could snap chat the Tiger Tails to his fellow officers (we think).  After a long trip, we checked into our temporary home for the duration of our trip, debriefed and made dinner plans which led us to the infamous orange and white restaurant known as Whataburger. Talk about delicious! Nothing could have tasted better in that moment! Great way to end the day! Ready for what's in store in Dallas!
