Billings, MT - Homelessness and Poverty (Post 1)

Hey friends, family, and fans! We have made it to Billings, Montana! We left Columbia yesterday afternoon to drive to Sioux City. We left Iowa this morning after meeting Hunter's family and headed toward Billings. On the way, we made a few pit stops. We first went to the Corn Palace and crashed a show choir performance but got to see the inside of it and took a picture by a corn kernel. We then kept driving and took another stop- this time to Wall Drug. Wall Drug is nationally ranked, advertised for 300 miles, and Reader's Digest approved.

Throughout the drive, we played some games, like counting cows (of which there were plenty) and jammed out in the car. Joe has made it to day two without Starbucks and still surviving. Hunter's earned the nickname of Hunty and Joe is now the diva.

We then took the most famous of our pit stops because we went to Mount Rushmore. Despite the snow, the surprise stop was fantastic! You can see a picture of us on the Mizzou Breaks Instagram or on our Twitter. We drove through the snow and trekked toward Montana. We are now settled in at our church and loving it. We are all in the same room and are ready for some bonding! The church is safe, big, and even has a rock climbing wall. #blessed #billings #break

Love,

ASBillings
