Greenville, SC — Children

"Nobody is better than anybody, we are just in different circumstances."
There's a pink eye epidemic in Greenville, and it has claimed its first Jolly Greenville Giants victim. But it's okay. We're armed with Lysol and antibiotics.
The 11 of us who made it to Pendleton Place today (we left infected Sarah behind) had an incredible time. We learned all about the organization and its recent changes—South Carolina changed the way it allocates family funding, so Pendleton has fewer residents but a bunch of new programs to help the community. Then we put ourselves to use. We cleaned. We organized. We hauled furniture. We drank sweet tea. It was delicious.
We're ending today by sharing the most interesting person we've met so far, the most interesting thing we've learned, and our own definition of service.
Follow us on Twitter @MUasbGreenville to see our cake selfies and generally stay in the loop.

1) Ms. Rachel because her reaction to welcoming us was warming and called us "guests." She showed how appreciative she was for us being there.
