First, because our trip is working with animals, we only thought it right to embrace our inner animals and give ourselves animal names. They are as follows: Harry Otter, Stingray, Arctic Tiger, Monkey Business, Fancy Feline, Dragon, Shark Bait, My Dog Skip, She-Wolf, Warhorse, Kung-Fun Handa (not Panda), and Toad.
To start, we ate at Ria's Bluebird Café for brunch, it was a long wait but it was delicious and affordable. They have the "World's Best Pancakes" according to the New York Times. Note, Harry Otter ate A LOT, but, hey, love your body and give it what it wants!
Our itinerary of the day consisted of visiting two main attractions of Atlanta, the Coca-Cola Factory and the Georgia Aquarium.
The group's favorite part about the Coca-Cola factory was the tasting room and the creepy Polar Bear that tried to eat Truman. We also attempted to start a dance party in the tasting room but it didn't catch on. By the way, the Beverly flavor from Italy is horrible. DO NOT DRINK IT.
Naturally, we all enjoyed the Georgia Aquarium much more. We definitely recommend the Ocean Voyager. Moving under an ENORMOUS tank full of whale sharks and manta rays on a conveyor belt floor was amazing. Our group had the opportunity to touch stingrays, sea urchins, cleaner shrimp, crabs, and even sea anemone! Also, the otters and beluga whales were super cute, Truman agrees! It was an amazing opportunity to learn more about animals, bond as a group, and spend time in Atlanta.
Coordinating a 4-day meal plan for 12 people? Success. Further, the group took bets on who would be the closest on guessing what the price for all the groceries would be and Shark Bait was ONLY $2 away from the total price. Definitely a contestant for "The Price is Right".
It was a long day and we're ready for service work with Furkids tomorrow!
Signing off,
Atlanimals
